Barossa Boy Young Wisdom Mataro, bottled in exceptional vintages is, in a word, luscious. After 5 hour decant it opened up beautifully, dark fruits, dark berry lollies, raspberry liquorice, rolling tobacco, lavender and violets coming through on the nose. The palate, juicy, plush, densely packed with cassis and plum, mulberry, black liquorice, herbal woody spice and fine sandy tannins adding just a touch of finesse. Super wine, drinking beautifully now and no doubt for a few days to come, can’t argue with that.
