4/26/2021, 7:06:39 PM Frédéric Giachino’s family has been cultivating land on the Grésivaudan Plain and the slopes of Mount Granier for many centuries. Growing only local varieties such as Jacquère and Altessse, Frédéric increased the vineyards to 6 hectares, and reintroduced native grapes Persan and Douce Noire. 25 year old vines are in marl and limestone outcrops on the slopes of Mount Granier. Grapes are slow pressed; vats are temperature controlled to clarify the wine without the addition of sulphites. Fermented with native yeasts, “Malolactic fermentation is not controlled, it might happen. Wine is aged on the lees until bottling”. _ Gold in colour, with aromas of baked apple, citrus blossom, honey, fresh herbs, and crushed rock minerality. Herb and mineral driven, underscored with lemon, apple, candied ginger and citrus acidity. Grapefruit, green apple and chalky minerality glaze the tangy finish. Airy and crisp. 100% Jacquère 11.5% Alcohol Domaine Giachino ‘Monfarina’ Vin de Savoie 2018 #vinobiologico #vinvivant #vinnaturel #lowinterventionwine #vinnature #vindesavoie #drinkbetterwine #vindefrance #nativegrapes #organicwine #winereview #vinobianco #vinblanc #whitewine #instavino #winestagram #naturalwine #instawine #instavin #domainegiachino #monfarina #caravino
