Interview with Zoltán Kovács, Winery Director, at Royal Tokaji. Zoltán explained the history of the region from the imperial era, through Communism, to modern-day. He was in the vineyard of Szt. Tamás, where he explained the influence of the Zemplen Mountains, the Great Hungarian Plain, and the Bodrog River. We covered the Winemaking styles from Dry Furmint, Late Harvest, and Aszú wines. We then tasted through several examples. We ran out of time, so there is a short part 2 of this video to wrap up the closing thoughts.
