4/24/2021, 12:45:14 PM Beechworth seems to have cemented itself as the home of Aussie Nebbiolo and I think it’d be hard to argue otherwise given the quality of wares being turned out these days and this being one such ware, Virago Nebbiolo 2016. A clear new world interpretation of Nebbiolo that packs red cherry, rose hip, black tea and rolling tobacco on the nose. The palate evolves and opens to offer wild strawberry, poached cherry, leather, aromatic black tea, and woody spice notes that sit amongst soft, powdery tannins. There’s no denning the deliciousness here 👏🏼🍷🙏🏼
