8/21/2021, 12:46:06 PM TGIF & TGFW! I’ve kicked off Friday night with this ripper Shiraz from Coombe Farm in the Yarra Valley. Super spicy, earthy, and smoky on the nose, like a burnt, earthy log’s been dipped in concentrated blackberries and plums then dragged through a bramble patch, I love it, very “adult” and complex. Thankfully I chose to decant it, tight at first but softens nicely retaining the complexity of savoury flavours and allowing the dark fruits to come to town. A definite “thinkers” wine, I like that. It’s got a very bright future ahead.
