Passionately revitalizing the Lacrima grape, Mario Lucchetti was one of the original Lacrima winemakers in the Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC of the Marche region.

Today his son Paolo works by his side “to carry the family tradition into the next decades”.

Grapes are from vines 15-30 years in ages, in clay soil at 180/220 meters [590/755 feet] in elevation. Fermented with native yeasts, aged in stainless steel tanks followed by an additional 3 months in the bottle.

Dark red-violet in colour, with aromas of blueberry, black cherry, wildflowers and earth.

Blackberry, blueberry, bramble, baking chocolate and fresh acidity glide atop firm tannins.

Tangy fruit lingers on the smoky finish. Plush and well balanced.

Famed for its Verdicchio, the Marche region is also known for its dedication to indigenous and traditional grapes such as Lacrima, Vernaccia Nera, Pecorino, Passerina and Biancame.

Additionally, Marche is known for its emphasis on organic viticulture and sense of place; believing in the connection between the land, people and wine.

Relatively tiny [it produces about 2% of Italy’s entire wine production], there is a vast range of microclimates and wines.

Located in the Ancona province of the Marche region, in the heart of Castelli di Jesi, the 39 hectare estate was the first estate in the Marche to be certified biodynamic [2008]. Grapes are from vineyards on the opposite slopes of the Esino Valley, in calcareous clay and sandstone soil, at about 200 meters in elevation.

Direct pressing and fermentation in stainless steel, aged in stainless steel tanks for 6 months.

Light gold in colour, with aromas of lemon, honey, slate minerality, almond and citrus blossom.

Lemon, pineapple, pear, white flowers and ginger glide atop racy acidity. Green apple, pink grapefruit and bitter almond accent the mineral driven finish.

Vineyards are farmed organically. Hand harvested grapes are from the estate vineyard in Offagna, with clay and sandy silt soil.

Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, followed by 6 months of aging in stainless steel.

Dark red violet in colour with aromas of sour cherry, wild berries, plum and peppery spice.

Cherry, pomegranate, red currant, black cherry, plum and crushed black peppercorn are supported by silky yet firm tannins and fresh acidity.

Located in Piceno, in the Marche region, the 25 hectares of vineyards and olive groves are farmed organically and in harmony with nature, the winery has a zero environmental impact.

Hand harvested grapes are from vines in limestone soil, aged in stainless steel.

Gold in colour with aromas of apple, citrus, white flowers, sea spray minerality and nuts.

Lemon driven, with granny smith apple and clean minerality gliding over tangy acidity. Candied ginger, citrus, nuts and a drizzle of honey infuse the lengthy, dry finish. Refreshing and snappy.

Located in the mountains of the Matelica appellation in the western part of the Marche region, Bisci is known for its exceptional Verdicchio and skipping vintages when the wine doesn’t meet their standards.

From vines planted in 1978-2016, at 300-350 meters in elevation, fermented in stainless steel, aged on the lees in glass lined glass lined cement vats for 8 months.

Gold in colour, with bright aromas of apple, pear, peach, citrus blossom, herbs, flinty minerality and honey. Apricot, green apple, pear, herbs, a drizzle of honey and flinty minerals are glossed by citrus acidity.

Pink grapefruit and summer herbs accent the almond finish.
