9/19/2021, 7:53:57 AM 1983 Domaine Lequin-Rousset - Corton Les Languettes Grand Cru (70 pts) · 🙋♂️ When was the last time you had a wine that was just way too old❓· ℹ️ Purchased on auction many years ago. Domaine is currently under Louis Lequin which are imported by @shiverick _wines . I don't know the full backstory· 👁 Medium tawny color with a pale brown rim. Noticeable sediment· 👃 Medium+ intensity on the nose, but necessarily pleasant aromas. Aromas of cedar, smoke, sour cherry, prune, brown sugar, and slight vinegar· 👄 The wine is dry, medium+ acidity, low resolved tannins, medium alcohol, and medium body. More vinegar than fruit on the palate. Short finish· 🔔 Dead on Arrival. ⚰️ it's not the fault of the wine, it should have been consumed 10-15 years ago. I don't know if this was stored improperly (no obvious indications) or if it just wasn't built to last. Exploring old wines are like looking for treasure in that it can be worth the adventure, just not this time 🤷♂️
