2005, 2008, & 2011 Domaine des Héritières Louis Jadot - Corton Pougets Grand Cru Vertical Tasting· 2005 Corton Pougets was my favorite of the the lineup. Bright red fruit, a little funk, earthiness, and some spice on the nose. The wine was dry, medium+ acidity that was really giving the wine life, medium tannins that are still expansive, and medium body. Overall solid finish and a well out together wine from a great vintage. Will age for another 2 decades· 2008 Corton Pougets was showing ok for a lackluster vintage, but I have to say that if I tasted this blind I never would have guessed Grand Cru quality level. The wine in general has light red fruit and loads of freshly tilled earth. The palate was light body, tannins were not very structured either. It had a touch of sweetness on the finish that I didn't love either. Oh well· 2011 Corton Pougets seems like it is a dumb phase at the moment. Lots of savory notes on the nose. Dried wood, dried leaves, and even some green notes (underripe stems/fruit?). Fairly astringent tannins but still thin on the palate. The green carried through on the palate and really where is the fruit on this wine? I tasted youngest to oldest and man, this was such a tease after tasting the 2005 first. 😰· #france #burgundy #cotedebeaune #corton #cortonpougets #louisjadot #domainelouisjadot #pinotnoir #verticaltasting #wine #vin #vino #葡萄酒 #vinho #wein #winelover #winegeek #winetasting #wsetdiploma #winestagram #wineterroir #sommelier #winelife #wineoclock #postmorewine #lovewine #winetime #wineporn #instawine
